Updates:
- We are suppose to have SoundKreations residency but unfortunately the instructor is ill. For more information, please read our school weekly message.
- April 18th - Parent Council at 6:30pm
- April 20th - PD Day. No School.
- April 26th - Superhero Spirit Day
- April 27th - Water Walk (We are accepting donations up to the 27th)

Technology Friday:

Thank you parents for all your support on Technology Friday. Students worked hard to earn all the "gotcha" tickets. Students had the opportunity to use ozobots where they get to experience computer coding.

Social Studies:
Students are studying Alberta's identity. What makes our province unique. Please talk to your child explain to you on what they learned this week and what they want to learn about. Please support your child with the research on one of the historical, cultural, or recreational site to enrich our learning experience in the classroom.

Room 20 had a guest speaker to share some Indigenous games in relations to the culture and mathematics. Students will share their learning with Room 21.

Math:
In class, we have been solving division problems and continue to talk about how it is related to multiplication, addition, and subtraction. Students have been using various strategies to support their understanding such as: Stamp Game, Division Bead Board, Long Division Bead Board, objects, pictures, and mental math. Please review and continue playing the math games to help your child with their math skills.

Literacy and Weekend Journal Entry
We have finished the book Wonder this week. We will be starting the next book, Auggie and Me - three wonder stories. In your opinion, would you recommend the book, Wonder to a friend or relative to read?

Here is the criteria for Opinion writing for this entry that students are familiar with.
