Students and volunteers are encouraged to bring a small backpack to put their  litterless lunch, a water bottle, and extra belongings in.

Math and Science:
Students have been exploring fractions and how it is related to everyday life. We have made a connection between fractions and measurement and how it can help us with our Science topic, Plant Growth and Change. They looked at a ruler carefully to understand what the lines mean in centimeters and also be represented in tenths of a centimeter too.

Social Studies/Art

Students have been learning about Alberta's Celebrations and Challenges. They have been journaling about two perspectives based on Glenbow Museum archived photos. By looking for clues and details, students engaged with thoughtful discussions about what they saw, and what stories were being represented in the photos.

An update on our Kidfest art, backgrounds have been painted and blended! Smaller student groups have completed the very first stage of painting. More students are drawing and will be painting more figures, landscapes animals and plants next on top of the backgrounds. Students are very excited to be part of an art project that reflects the wonders of Alberta.

Any volunteers willing to come into the class and help us with art during the week of May 14th-18th from 1:40-2:30pm are more than welcomed!

Assembly
Our Assembly will be in June 1 (Friday) at 9:30am. Parents and families are invited to attend.
